Recruiters and The EEOC… (Oboy)
In this episode: Jim and Karen interview Carol Miaskoff, Assistant Legal Counsel for Coordination at the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. This one is a doozy!!! These are some of the questions asked during the podcast.
- What is a Recruiters responsibility when it comes to the EEOC? (And should they care?)
- As a client company, should I be concerned about the activity and behaviors of my external third party recruiters?
- Can I as company hide behind my recruiters and have them discriminate on my behalf?
- What does co-employment mean?
- Karen heard that using the internet ONLY for recruiting can create a possible “disparate impact.” Is that true? (Jim asks,”What does that even mean?”)
- What is the E-Race initiative?
- How hard is it to prove hiring discrimination?
- Does the EEOC (really) have time to investigate claims brought to them?
