A: First Thursday is an online networking event held every month. A different worthy cause is supported each time. It costs $10.00 to participate and ALL of the money goes to the charity being supported that month. In November, First Thursday is supporting “Ramapo for Children.”

The Recruiters Lounge is teaming up with BlitzTime to conduct a series of online networking events to support worthy causes. To join this event, all you will need is a telephone and an internet connection. The cost of the event is $10.00 and all of the proceeds will be donated to the charity being supported that month.

WHAT IS BLITZTIME?
BlitzTime is an innovative service that allows its users to interact over the phone for specific blocks of time. Think of it as speed dating, but for business.
HOW DOES IT WORK?

THE CHARITY BEING SUPPORTED?
The charity being supported in November is “Ramapo for Children” Founded in 1922, Ramapo for Children is a nationally recognized, not-for-profit organization serving children with special needs. Ramapo’s mission is to serve children with a wide range of emotional, behavioral and learning disabilities in a dynamic and stimulating outdoor environment, providing educational and recreational experiences that promote social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth.
Ramapo’s specific focus is to provide adventure-based, experiential learning programs that promote positive character values, build social and learning competencies, and enhance self-esteem in children from preschool through late teens.
In addition, Ramapo Training provides professional development training, program support and ‘coaching’ for educators and youth service workers serving children with disabilities.
I am so VERY excited to assist in raising money for such a worthy cause. I hope that I get a chance to speak with you personally about it on the First Thursday of November 2008.
