How to create a Recruitment Video for $0.00
If your company has a recruitment video, kudos to you. Whether or not its any good, is subjective and can be discussed ad nauseum. If you do not have a recruitment video, why not? Perhaps you are thinking that it is too costly a venture to implement? Or maybe you want to do one yourself, but you don’t even have a camera (or the nerve) to even try it. Well, no matter the reason, I have found a cool tool you can use to create an effective Recruitment Video that will cost you NO MONEY.
I want to introduce you to a cool tool called - ANIMOTO. Here is an example of a video I made for EnglishCafe. (It is not a recruitment video, but it very well could be.)

Pretty slick, huh? This cost me Zero Dollars and it took a fairly short period of time to make it happen. Let me show you basically how I did it.
1. Collect a series of pictures and graphics that I want featured in my video. (This is actually the hardest part.)
2. I go to Animoto.com.
3. I choose between 2 options. I can make a 30-second video (for free) or the full-length video where I have to pay a couple of bucks. I opt for the freebie.
4. I upload all of my images.
5. I place my images in the order that I want them to appear.
6. After doing that, the next step is to choose the soundtrack. I can upload my own audio or choose from their library. I decide to get something from their library.
7. Animoto has a lot of tracks to choose from. I can go with Pop, Electronica, Jazz, whatever suits my fancy.
8. Finally, I add in my info (Name, Video Description, et cetera) so that I am properly credited. After doing that, I click the “Create Video” button and Animoto takes it from there and this is where it gets really cool.
- Animoto “listens” to the music you picked out (or uploaded)
- Animoto takes the pictures you uploaded and flashes them across the screen in one of hundreds of transitions.
- Moments later you are done and can view your video.
Since I opted for the freebie, I can not download a copy to my laptop. I can however, have Animoto send it to my YouTube account. Once on YouTube, I can get the embed code and add it to any blog post I like. Now, there are of course added benefits when you opt for the pay version. Here are a few…
