Linkedin is growing faster than Facebook

Written on April 16, 2008 – 11:23 am | by Jim Stroud |

Before you can recruit passive prospects online, you have to be where they are (or where they will most likely be). Gee, that’s kind of deep. Well, if you want to know where a lot of passive prospects will be… its (drumroll please) Linkedin. (www.linkedin.com)

Compared to other Social Networks, Linkedin had the most impressive growth rate by escalating in audience growth 271%. WOW! To put that in perspective, Facebook’s new audience share doubled, but only by 102%. (Not bad by any means, but still… its not 271%.)

Its also notable to cite that MySpace’s unique audience totaled 55.4 million in February 2008, more than double Facebook’s 20.0 million.
