This is how you layoff your employees

Written on March 28, 2008 – 11:59 am | by Jim Stroud |

I stumbled across a most EXCELLENT ad on Craig’s List and had to share it. Oh, if only more companies were this benevolent when swinging their downsizing axes.

Yesterday I had to do one of the more difficult things — lay off three of my good friends, all of whom are talented and professional developers.

I’m posting here today in hopes that someone out in the world is looking for some seasoned talent, people who can get things done for you. I will personally recommend all three of these guys, and I’ll detail below each of them. If you are interested, I’m including my phone number. I’ll take your contact information and give it to the person(s) you are interested in, and you can take it from there.

Curiously enough, I also have the resume of a VERY talented Software Engineering Manager looking for work in CA (Bay Area). To his credit, he currently manages a team of 6 software engineers. He has received 2 Outstanding Performance Awards. He is the co-author of patent applications, and he has obviously released several products.

This is a freebie referral, so I am not asking for anything in return, just helping a friend. If you are interested, send me an email (jimstroud @ jimstroud.com) with the subject line “I want to talk to that Software Engineering Manager” and I will pass your information on.

Cheers,

Jim Stroud
