Is LinkedIn too popular for its own good?

Yesterday I received several pings on Instant Messenger and a few emails on LinkedIn. They totally revamped their website (reminds me of Facebook) and prominently promoted Bill Gates with their LinkedIn Answers feature. (Very nice!) I did not have a chance to get to it yesterday, so I was going to plug them now. Alas, this is what I saw when I logged in moments ago.

LinkedIn is down, but will be back online soon

My guess is that their relaunch was so hugely successful that a wave of unprecedented traffic crashed their server. A good problem to have I suppose, but it does slow down the glowing recommendation I was going to give. Ah well… Look for it later next week. (Smile)
