Is Jim Stroud a sell-out?
For the sake of certain rumors, allow me to ask you a question? If my site was sold to a third party and I remained on (for a period of time) as an advisor to the new owner, would you still support this site? If so, or if not, PLEASE leave a comment on this blog post and it would be VERY MUCH appreciated. (wink)

IF you were in charge would it be the same? If so there would be no reason to change our behaviour either.
whats the site worth without you?
i read you, not the site.
i would stick around to see if i like the new content and then follow whatever you do.
so yea id stick around provided that the great content continued.
btw, you owe it to all of us to make public the details of your sale. kiddn. but i think we’d all like to have an idea as to what the market would pay for a site like yours.
Quality or useful content is king, not who’s name is in the url or at the top of the blog. If the quality or usefulness of the content goes down, then I will pay less and less attention to the site and will eventually leave.
BTW: If the content is really poor or becomes very questionable, would you really want your name (I assume the URL jimstroud.com become property of the new owner), associated with that? Reputations take a lifetime to build and can be gone in a blink of the eye.
Yes. And I’ll never visit the site again. (Just kidding.)
I’m with everyone else: if the content is worth reading then we’ll read it.
are you going to allow other possible interested people or companies to see if they may want to buy it?
I agree. I read Jim Stroud for Jim Stroud. If they aren’t your words anymore then I don’t need to read it.
