Diigo: I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!! Use it, use it, use it…

I talked about Diigo last year and am still singing its praises both privately and publicly. When I stumbled across this video on YouTube, I had to post it. It was made by a teacher explaining how students could use it when researching their term papers. With just a little imagination, I am sure you can see how it can be used to make notes on resumes you found online and more Check out the 8-minute video below and let me know what you think.

P.S. Can anyone tell me what the “Secret” link (on my site) is all about?

P.P.S. Thanks Clay for making such a great video!

Have you noticed an increase in spam or anything like that?

I ask b/c I have heard that when one downloads a “freebie”, it may also come with unwanted spam stuff.

Bots the use your computer to email you spam.

Seems like a pretty neat tool, but are their any consequences?

Ken,

I have been using Diigo for awhile now and have experienced nothing along those lines. I am pretty confident that it is not spyware or malware for that matter.

I’ve been using Diigo for over a year–1500 bookmarked, highlighted, annotated, tagged websites–and my students have been using it for three months.

It’s clean. It’s legit. And it’s my favorite info-management tool.

And by the way, I made the video. it’s customary to credit/link to things we borrow, right? ;-)

This is very similar to the one at Questia.com. The only difference is that you have to be a paid subscriber of Questia.com to be able to use it. This one is FREE! WoooooHoooo!

Clay, sorry about not linking to you. I will make it right and a link to your blog in the post itself.

Great video by the way!

I have used Diigo for about six months now, mainly as a research facility. I know that it has great potential for teaching, but can anyone on the community point to a sample lesson plan that can serve as a model for me? Diigo is probably the best tool of its kind right now!

[...] “guru”, Jim Stroud, also has posted several strong recommendations for Diigo  here, here, here and here.  In his words “Diigo: I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!! Use it, use it, use [...]
