How to source engineers skilled in SAP

If you are tasked with sourcing engineers skilled in SAP, you might like this one. Let me start you off with a question. Are you familiar with Google’s Custom Searchengine? Its a lot like Rollyo, but I digress. Basically how it works is, you make a list of websites and with Google’s CSE you search them all from one search form. Impressed? Okay, wait for it…

There is a distinct difference in searching with Google CSEs which is your results are filtered by human beings rather than a mathematical algorithm. The result? Less search engine noise (what I call unrelated search results) and more of what you want. At least, in most cases.

This is a link to “Guide to Custom Search Engines,” a directory of Google Custom Search Engines (CSEs), created by site owners & Google, offering search results different than Google’s standard search.

Google CSE

The webmasters of this site are all hyped over the power of Google CSEs and have posted a sample results page comparing Google searches to Google Custom Searches. (See below)

Okay, enough of that. I return to the homepage and choose a category to explore – Technology.

After that, I click the sub category – Software.

And then (finally) I choose the SAP ABAP link which leads to SAP Search (see below).

Now, the pages listed in this Google CSE (again) is a list of pages relevant to SAP. There may be some resumes included on that list, but its unlikely. So, I decide to look for a phrase that would (most likely) lead to a passive candidate. For example, “I am an engineer” and before you can say “sim sim salla bim,” you have (passive) leads to engineers skilled in SAP.

Now, are you impressed? If not, you’ll like the next one.

Happy Hunting!

P.S. I have more goodies like this in the Recruiters Resources section. Check it out! And oh! Does anyone know what the “Secret” is on my site?
