How to find Python programmers in 30 seconds or less
Have a need for software developers skilled in the Python language? If so, you will REALLY like this next trick!
I stumbled across a very specific search engine the other day - Python Search. Python Search is a programming specific search engine. No matter what keyword you use, it will be searched on its relation to an online python-focused resource. I can show you better than I tell you, so check this out.
Here is a screenshot of the “Python Search” homepage.
In the search box (see the arrow?) I enter the following searchstring:
copyright (@gmail.com OR @hotmail.com OR @aol.com)
Why that? Well, I am looking for “copyright” because more than likely it would appear on the source code of a python program. I cite “@gmail.com” and the other email addresses because I want to find source code where the programmer has placed his email. Check out the results I get.
Hmmm… Let’s see what the very first result looks like.
Bingo! The first result is a source code of a Python program with (of course) the email of the programmer that designed it. Now is that the case with each result? Nope! But it does happen enough times to keep it interesting.
