Web2.0 - Fonpods, Fonpods, I LOVE YOU SO!!!

Michael Arrington turned me on to a VERY cool company - Fonpods. Man, I LOVE these guys. For the low, low cost of FREE, they enable anyone with a cellphone to listen to podcasts on the web. Now I’ve seen companies that produce a similar service, but none that work as flawlessly (and so easily) as Fonpods. Let me show you easy it is..

1. Go to Fonpods and register for a new account. Be sure to add your cellphone number when you register (very important)

2. Once you are signed in perform a search on “recruiters lounge.”

3. Click the “My Series” button.

4. Like magic, “The Recruiters Lounge” is loaded in your series of subscriptions.

5. Dial 712-432-3030 and follow the menu prompts. If you do nothing, the latest episode of The Recruiters Lounge will play. (Yay!)

What I like about this service is that you do not need a web-enabled cellphone for it to work, which is the case with some services. So if you have a super-fancy cellphone that plays videos downloaded from the internet, or your basic generic pay-as-you-go cellphone, you will be able to listen to my podcast on your cellphone. (Hmm… I think I said cellphone too many times.)

Fonpods has LOTS and LOTS of podcasts already added to its network, but always has room for more. If your favorite podcast is not already listed, you can add it on the fly.
