Web 2.0 - Meedio is thinking! What a good buy for Yahoo…

A few weeks back , I guest-blogged on the Marketing Headhunter blog suggesting a new way of recuiting active jobseekers using an ATS modeled after the popular DIGG website. Today I discovered another spin on the Digg platform - Meedio Ideas.
What is it? Meedio Ideas lets its users submit and vote for features they would like to see in Meedio products. Simply log into the Meedio Forum with your password (or register if you don’t have one). Once an idea has 5 votes, it is automatically pubished to the front page of Meedio Ideas. The most popular ideas will be incorporated into future releases of Meedio Products.
I think this is SOOO cool! Why? By involving their community of users, Meedio’s customers will feel more connected to the product line and potentially become customer evangelists once their ideas are implemented. Can you imagine?
“Dude, check out this cool holographic tv plug-in Meedio just made for me!”
“For you?”
“Yeah, I gave them the idea and now here it is. They work for me.”
I went to Meedio’s homepage today and saw that Yahoo just acquired them. Interesting to see what new innovations come out of that acquisition.
