The Week In Recruiting *(Reading the recruiting blogs, so you don’t have to.)

Here are my fab 15 for the week of August 28, 2006.

1. Carmen Electra has the hots for Dave Mendoza? In his dreams… (and mine too!) 2. One-quarter of Brits are bored at work and looking for the “out” door. 3. If you (now or ever) have ever added one too many smiley-faces to an email, here is where you can get help. (Great video!) 4. Ooohhh.. Scott Allen launched a new blog on all things Linked In. Cool! 5. Everything you wanted to know about Workforce Planning, but was afraid to ask. 6. Simon says you (really) don’t know how to read resumes. 7. The Recruiting Animal raises my eyebrow twice this week with Gays in the Israeli Army and racial bias based on… accents? (Who knew?) 8. Dr. John Sullivan says all the snakes are not on the plane. 9. Hey baby, that’s a cute resume you got there. If you’re looking, I’m hirin’ babe…

10. Okay, who’s not talking about Radio Shack firing employees via email? (Reminds me of a certain comic I posted a while ago) 11. Glenn “The Great One” Gutmacher explains a novel approach for niche job board blogs to market themselves. Thing is… Paula liked it, Randy liked it, but (of course) Simon was the wet blanket. 12. Do you really care if your candidate has a MBA? 13. Proper interrogration techniques (that will keep you from being sued). 14. I hope you made the deadline for this worthy cause! If not, I hope you buy something nice. 15. Ooohhh… this flies in the face of conventional wisdom! What war for talent?
