Jason Davis and Recruiting.com hit the headlines

Thanks Dave for letting me post your letter here! Great news for the industry indeed.

Jim,

I followed up with my new friend, Jason Davis, after the Kennedy Conference in Las Vegas and we recalled that we had played poker at a charity mixer at ERE last March. I suggested that he take a gamble and introduce himself to my fellow contacts. Jason learned of the value of Linkedin, and graciously, many of my contacts accepted his Linkedin invite and I am thankful that his message is getting it deserves.

I felt then, as I do know, that Jason is a trailblazer when it comes to evangelizing blogging for talent. Jason Davis so happens to be the founder of RECRUITING.COM. Owning the keyword/name of your industry as a domain is a very powerful marketing tool and Jason has used this tool to create a community for and by recruiters.

Okay, I assume many already knew this - but for all those in our industry who haven’t yet connected online to Jason Davis at Linkedin or had a chance to visit ‘thee’ leading recruiting industry blog site at http://www.recruiting..com you may want to know Jason has been in the news this past week.

As of June 8th, Jobster Inc. announced it has acquired Recruiting.com. Jobster CEO Jason Goldberg said, “Jobster is committed to leading an industry wide dialogue on the future of recruiting. Blogs are an important medium for that discussion, and Recruiting.com is a great platform. We are thrilled to welcome Recruiting.com into the Jobster community.”

The next steps for recruiting.com will be user-personalized content and to make archived content searchable, making it easier for users to locate content on recruitment methods, trends, and activities.

You may want to say hello to Jason and I recommend you visit Recruiting.com daily as you sip your morning coffee before reading emails. Or you can make it easier by simply signing up for Recruiting.com Newsletters. I personally find it a lot more interesting than to limit my reading material to headlines about ‘the surge in gas prices’ on a daily news site.

You may ask yourself, “How do blogs fit into an overall strategy of a company looking to connect with its audience?” As the Recruiting.com increases its reach and visibility, ultimately it mutually helps all of us connect with an even bigger audience. Every visit introduces you to new, innovative content that applies to how we, as recruiters, conceive, build, and implement a better mousetrap in this the War for Talent.

Jason is always interested in getting fresh ideas and opinions on the business of recruiting and sharing them with his audience on Recruiting.com I strongly urge you to take him up on his offer to contribute your articles, ideas, etc. How do you proceed? Simple, just email Jason directly at jason@recruiting.com
