Create an ATS on the cheap…

Is your searchfirm a one-person show? Need a resume database that you can access from the web? Need it free? If so, you may want to check out Lazybase. Lazybase “allows anyone to design, create and share a database of whatever they like.”

I have not played with this extensively, but thought it was interesting. The best part of using it as a resume database is that it can be accessed from the web.

However, if using the web to store your resumes does not matter to you and you are okay with storing them in Outlook or on your hard drive, then I would suggest adding your resumes to specific folders and searching your drive locally with Windows Desktop Search of which I highly recommend.
