Steven Kempton is a search consultant and writer specializing in recruiting and executive search in the Asia Pacific for Search Niche Ltd. With experience in retained search across Greater China, Australasia and eight years living and working in Japan, Steven works mainly for US based firms who take advantage of his cultural understanding of the region, as well as his knowledge of internet and direct search recruitment methods for the Asia Pacific.

Steven’s passion for sharing information on recruiting and careers in the region led him to start the popular business blog, asiapacificheadhunter.com. Steven has a B.A. in Japanese with a focus on Linguistics from Massey University in New Zealand. In his spare time he reads children’s books and cleans up toys. He is currently based in his native New Zealand with his wife, two sons, and Academy Award Winning Director, Peter Jackson.
