Trendwatch: Searching web-based forums

When searching the internet for talent, most people use search engines (like MSN) and others use social neworks (like Linked In). However, how many go deep and patrol the mammoth amount of intel found in online forums? Not too many I’ll wager. Why? Probably because its such a bear to manuever through them them all and it takes so much longer to find “the perfect candidate” to call on with this method. Well, I think that may soon change. Mostly because of a slow (but growing) trend of search engines focusing on online message boards.

I have begin playing with a few of them, but not ready yet to give a thumbs up or down on any of them. If any jump out at me and slap me on the fanny as a cool tool I should praise from the rooftops, then I will. For the curious, here is a collection of logos for you to explore. Look up the companies represented here and maybe we can swap opinions on them?
