How to use The Job Seeker Manifesto

Here are a few suggestions:

  1. Bundle a copy of The Job Seeker Manifesto with your resume. For example, when sending your resume to a recruiter you are unfamiliar with, use the manifesto as a cover letter so that they may review it prior to your actual resume.

  2. Add a link to The Job Seeker Manifesto in your cover letter. For example, “Dear Recruiter, Blah, blah, blah… My resume is attached for your review.Unless submitted to me in writing, I will assume that you agree to my terms concerning my resume. A full explanation of these terms is outlined here: www.JimStroud.com/manifesto.
  3. Print off a copy of The Job Seeker Manifesto, staple it to your resume and distribute it at career fairs.
  4. If you have your resume posted on the internet, add the following line above your resume. “Unless submitted to me in writing, I will assume that you agree to the terms outlined here concerning my resume.” The link would connect to www.JimStroud.com/manifesto. (Check out my resume page as an example.)

If you have any additional suggestions on how to use The Job Seeker Manifesto, I would love to hear them.
